World Cup 27/06/06
While Ghana has played well, I was convinced that Brazil would easily beat them. Ghana came to life on the pitch after the first Brazilian goal, but seemed to loose some steam after the second one, which should not have counted because Brazil was clearly offside. Brazil played the remainder of the game as if they were happy to keep their two goal lead, and got the third goal when the Ghana defence was absent from the box. So Brazil is off to the quarter-finals, and Ronaldo becomes the record holder for the most number of goals scored at the World Cup to date.
If I had any money I would have put it on Spain to leave France in the dust. It’s a good thing I didn't bet on this match. In the final 10 minutes, France got two goals, to add to the one they already had, to secure their advancement to the quarter-finals.
