World Cup 19/06/06

Togo vs Switzerland was a fair match of two teams that played quite well. The Swiss could just finish up, but there were fleeting moments when Togo shone.

I expected the Urkaine to dominate in the match against Saudi Arabia, but I also expected the Saudis to put on a better display. There was some great officiating, with the English ref Graham Poll having good control of the match.

In the Spain vs Tunisia match, a rainy pitch, and a surprise early goal by the Tunisians gave Spain a run for their money. The Spanish dominated in ball possession, shots, and shots on goal, but Tunisia shut down their offense until late in the game when Spain rebounded.
