An open letter to Mark Burnett & Company and CBS regarding the Rockstar: Supernova Finale

Words cannot express how peeved I am that we did not get to see the finale show properly. You butchered the editing of the finale so badly it’s hard to believe that the finished product came from esteemed television personnel. The smallest television station could have done a better job at producing the tripe you fed us.

You bored us with season highlights, then we did not get to see the bottom two performances, or at the very least cutting the rockers from four to three. You at least gave us the final three performances, albeit Lukas’s was cut off. And then we did not get to final two perform.

It was very disrespectful to both the viewers who watched all summer long, and the contestants. Why show so many season highlights if you were going to abbreviate the show to this extent? Did gremlins screw with your production facility? Did the footage you shot self combust? Did some idiot send out the wrong cut for broadcast?

I feel ripped off and cheated, and I expected far more from CBS and Mark Burnett Productions. You teased me all summer, and built up the finale in the preceding weeks. This was an extreme let down. I believe you owe us an apology.
